Alfred Thomas Waymouth Alfred Thomas Waymouth

Alfred was born at 4 am on 13th April 1877 in Liverton, Ilsington, Devon
He was one of twelve children of William Henry Waymouth (a baker) and Theresa (nee Hodge)
Census records show that the family was living at Liverton in 1881 and in Greenwich in 1891.
Alfred joined the British Army Royal Field Artillery and when his time expired at the age of 27 in 1905 he transferred to the Special Reserves. In World War 1 he served on the Western Front from 1914 until demobilised on 25th April 1919. He was awarded the 1914/15 Star, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
Alfred married three times: Mary Louisa Wood in 1905 at Sheffield; Emma Phippard (nee Rouse) in 1919 at Chiswick who died in 1926; and Emily Green in 1927 at Chiswick. Alfred's third wife Emily died in 1968 and Alfred died soon after Emily aged 92.
Alfred and Emma had one child, Joan Edith Vera Waymouth, born on 13th June 1920.
