This 1907 photo of Silas Waymouth's family includes Betty on her mother's knee, middle row, right end.   Betty was the younger of two daughters of Ernest Waymouth (back row, right end) and Elsie (nee Bleecker).   Betty was educated at Bath.   In 1940 she married Geoffrey Milnes Hirst (Major in army) and they had one son.   Betty drove Army ambulances during WW2.  She was a first class tennis player and professional coach in the 1950s.
