Eliza Waymouth (nee Glanville) Eliza Waymouth

Born at Cawsand, Cornwall on 28 Sep 1797
Died at Plymouth, Devon on 8 March 1875.

Eliza was the second of four daughters of Roger Glanville and Dorothy (nee Richards) of Cawsand.   Roger was a fisherman, born in the same area of Cornwall (across Plymouth Sound from Plymouth, Devon).   Roger's father, Richard Glanvill, had moved to the area about 1857 from Ashburton, Devon.
Eliza married John Waymouth, the eldest son of John Waymouth, a cooper of the adjacent Parish of Maker.   They married at Rame Church, Cornwall on 1 August 1820.   Soon after the marriage, the couple moved to Pembroke, Wales where John was employed at the new Pembroke dockyards there.   Their first eleven children were born at Pembroke between 1821 and 1839.   The twelfth and last child was born at Devonport.   John was employed at Devonport and Deptford dockyards.   See John (Timber).
