This photo of Maker Church is from the West.

We are not sure of the origins of John and Ann Waymouth.   The marriage of John Waymouth to Ann Porter at Dartmouth in 1752 is the most probable answer.
The first Waymouth record at Maker is the baptism of their daughter, Elizabeth, on 15 Oct 1758.   Then followed Mary in 1760 and John (Cooper John) in 1765.

The grave of John and Ann is next to the East wall of the church.   The inscription reads:

HERE lie depofited the remains of Ann the wife of John Waymouth of this parish who departed this life the 15th day of February 1803 aged 80 years.
ALSO the remains of the faid John Waymouth who departed this life the 22nd day of April 1807 aged 81 years.
