John Preston, senior, died at Havercroft, Batley on 17 November 1846, aged 52 years.
His wife, Hannah, died at Havercroft, Batley on 14 September1849, aged 47 years.
They are buried at Dewsbury.   Their gravestone can be seen beside the church (see photo).
